A história, ou o que se sabe dela, conta-se em poucos carácteres.

Em 2012, foram "descobertas" umas gravações obscuras com toda a cara de serem dos anos 70 de uma banda com o nome Milky Edwards & The Chamberlings, a fazer versões Motown/Stax de 3 canções do histórico "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars": Starman, Moonage Daydream e Soul Love.

Uma pesquisa na net pelo nome da banda (retiradas as notícias e publicações sobre estas 3 canções) leva-nos apenas a esses 3 vídeos (que se deixa abaixo) e a um site com nenhuma informação. Não se conhecem, também, registos de qualquer gravação ter sido editada por uma banda com tal nome.

Mais se verifica que a cara dos supostos membros de Milky Edwards & The Chamberlings são incrivelmente parecidos com (da esquerda para a direita) Lionel Richie, Paul Winfield, Carl Weathers e Fred Williamson.

A conclusão instalada é que se trata de um logro, o qual pode até ter o velho Bowie como peça da engrenagem - no mínimo, conhecendo a sua existência e autorizando as versões.

Fora isso tudo, são 3 fabulosas versões retro-soul de 3 canções emblemáticas, com arranjos muito bem esgalhados e uma produção muito bem feita, simulando, realmente, a era do lançamento de "(...) Ziggy Stardust (...)" e das duas históricas editoras de, predominantemente, música soul e R&B.
